6/01 AN URBAN OUTLOOK: city scapes and architectural details

An extremely bright, sunny day. This gave us the opportunity to work on exposure when confronted with extreme contrast. We practiced selecting our views based on the challenge. Using no fill flash as well as fill flash, we learned how to adjust our interpretation of what we wanted to achieve. Restrictions can often present enlarged creative opportunities and we took advantage of these this day.

Dublin One-Mile

Cold and rainy. We drove out anyway hoping the rain would lessen enough for us to shoot without damaging our cameras. Since the run was so short, we – rightly – assumed it would be held. Very few entrants, but great enthusiasm, T-shirts for all. A fine ambiance for the runners, but the rain heavy enough to chance ruining our cameras so we watched a bit and headed to Keene for some hot drinks,  camaraderie and conversation about the challenges of shooting action.

Lots of runs coming up in better weather, so we decided to correspond and meet for our ‘run’ shoot another time.

Give me a call or be in touch through my contact page and let me know if you’re interested in the next ‘run’ shoot. I’ll email you directly before I post the date in the calendar listing.
